Croft Blue won their first league game of 2015 convincingly against local rivals Liden Community in a slightly heated early morning game. The boys always know they have to lift their game against the greens, as they always begin fired up and desperate to get one over on the Blues. This wasn’t going to be the case though, with the league’s top scorer Bikash Limbu striding through after only 3 minutes to score the first for Croft. After a mix up involving Tyler Affleck and Zac Brain, the visitors did level the score for 1-1. However, the unstoppable Limbu soon added goals 2,3 and 4 as the hosts began to stretch infront. The second half saw the goal of the game, with the move starting with Affleck throwing the ball to Tom Holland. The centre half then played the ball to Finn Tremblen, whose perfect through ball was taken in his stride by Callum Hooper, who made it two goals in as many games since the turn of the year. Bikash added a 5th for himself before being substituted late on.

Well done to all of the Croft players at full time for shaking hands with the opposition, which wasnt the case all round with the management on the opposing team. Important to remember that we are u11’s and we need to show respect to everyone, particuarly when playing for a big club like ours. Well done boys!
